A husband was left horrified after he found packaging for what appeared to be an X-rated item in the recycling bin.
After spotting the oddly-shaped container nestled amongst the other cardboard and plastic in the bin, he quickly confronted his wife.
But after speaking to her, he discovered that it was actually a cordless shaver that his wife had purchased at Aldi.
The woman took to Facebook to share a photo of the inconspicuous packaging with others and many said it’s easy to see how he might have mistaken it for another personal electronic item.
“Husband found this in the recycling and was wondering what I’d bought at Aldi.
“When I told him it was the packaging to the cordless shaver he just looked at me strangely”, she wrote in the Aldi Mums group, news.com.au reports.
One person joked: “Tell hubby he’s second choice.”
Another wrote: “Great shaver, yeah,” while one person penned: “Yes, cordless ‘SHAVER.'”
Others also admitted to understanding her husband’s mistake.
But Aldi’s electric shaver isn’t the only item to cause a stir.
A B&M shopper was on the hunt for a few new festive decorations in her local store when she came across a white reindeer statue.
On top of the reindeer’s back were a number of adorable looking animals; a fox, an owl, a rabbit and a squirrel, as well as a robin sitting on one of its antlers.
But as she turned it upside down in search of the price tag, she came across a very realistic-looking set of male genitals.
While many social media users were surprised by the odd detail, others were left in tears at the hilarity.
One person said: “Well at least we know it’s definitely a stag.”
“Oh that’s brilliant – they will sell out now I bet,” added another.
A third commented: “Not something I would normally buy, but now I’m compelled to.”
